Hey everyone! Hope your week has started out wonderfully. October has flown by, and I can’t believe we will be setting the clocks back an hour this weekend. Wasn’t it just the 4th of July?? Although the weather has been a little chillier than I prefer, I adore fall and have been cramming in as many fall-time activities as I can. PSL from Starbucks? Check. Oktoberfest in Leavenworth? Check. Pumpkin patch? Check.
A couple weeks ago my hubby and I headed up to Gau-Sco farm to pick pumpkins straight out of the patch. I did this last year with my niece and nephews, which I shared about in this post. I loved it so much, I knew I had to go back this year to find our pumpkins. It was a little overcast, but nothing a PSL from Starbucks couldn’t fix:)
How about this green pumpkin… thing?? I honestly don’t know if it’s a pumpkin- to me it looks like a cross between a zucchini and a pumpkin. I was intrigued!
I found this little guy randomly, and had to snatch him up. I mean- what a perfect little pumpkin!
Then I got a little distracted and wandered off drinking my PSL and looking for white pumpkins…
Found them!
I snagged a perfect baby white pumpkin while my hubby found a nice and round big orange pumpkin. I also found a smaller orange pumpkin with the funniest long stem for carving. We took our haul back to the car and took some snapshots of our pumpkin loot.
I definitely think we had a successful trip to the pumpkin patch:)
Where do you get pumpkins from this time of year? I would love to grow them myself- but until I improve my green thumb, the pumpkin patch will have to do:)
Happy Wednesday!
This looks so fun! I wanted to go to a pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins, but we just ended up going to Walmart, which is lame. Next year I guess!
Oh well, a Walmart pumpkin is better than no pumpkin! :)
