Hi! Welcome to my little corner of the world wide web! My name is Kayla, and I’m a married twenty something living in the beautiful pacific northwest. My husband’s name is Martin, and we have two pups, Joey & Katie – AKA the wildest duo you’ll ever meet.
I love rainy days, mainly because it rained on our wedding day. (Cue Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic” song.) We had a full on down pour as we said “I do.” And it was an all outdoor wedding. The sun did immediately come out after, just in time to dry everything off for the reception. People tell us all the time how beautiful our wedding was, and with the rain, it was one of the most memorable weddings they’ve been to. What can I say – we like to keep things exciting around here. ;)
I adore Jesus, my wonderful friends and family, dogs, coffee (and lots of it), traveling, cooking, taking pictures, and experiencing new things.
Why the blog? I love to plan. I love to take pictures. I love to write. My blog helps me grow in each of these areas, and I love it. I currently work as a software developer for a local ISP, so this is my creative outlet.
And why Moments Don’t Collect Dust? Because it’s true! We all want things, it’s human nature. But, when it comes down to it, things ultimately collect dust– while experiences, memories, and moments do not. So, this is my journey, and I’m working towards having less things, and collecting more moments.
