Happy February!

AKA, happy month of love, hearts, candy and all things pink!! I’m still brainstorming what this month will have in store for me, but there are some things coming up that I’m definitely excited about. And you should be too! Here’s why:

Valentine’s Day, February 14 || It doesn’t matter if you’re single, married, or anything in between- celebrate! Eat chocolates, bake something festive, send a valentine, or splurge on a treat for yourself!

National Drink Wine Day, February 18 || Any wine-lovers out there? Well, here’s the day for you. I’ve got a couple bottles of Idaho wine from my dear friend who I visited last summer in Boise. I can’t wait to open one up on this day! Maybe I’ll make a cheese plate for dinner that night.

National Love Your Pet Day, February 20 || You better believe I will be spoiling my pups a little extra on this day! I’m thinking a long walk followed by some special treats.

Open That Bottle Night, February 28 || I love this concept. It’s basically a night to give you a reason to open that bottle that you’ve been “saving for a special occasion.” I’ve got a couple I could open, but I haven’t decided which one I will!

Side note: That darn groundhog saw his shadow, which means 6 more weeks of winter! We’ve hardly had any snow this winter, and it snowed here the day he made his prediction of course. Oh well, I’ll take the pretty snow over the rain we’ve been forecast to have. I haven’t gone sledding yet this winter, so maybe we’ll get enough snow so that I can this month! (As I type this I’m thinking, “Sledding, really? Good grief girl, you’re 25!”) Yes, sledding. Really.

I’m still brainstorming for a festive treat to make this month. I’m thinking sugar cookies, or cupcakes. Although, breakfast items have been calling to me. Red velvet scones and festive baked donuts… ahh decisions! Clearly my sweet tooth is all too excited it’s February.

I’ll share my February adventures and moments collected throughout the month, just as I did in January. Let’s make the most out of this short month!

xoxo,
Kayla
