Here we are, already at the end of February. Though the months seem to fly by anyway, the fact that February is a short month really made it go by that much quicker. I think I collected a lot of great moments during the past 28 days though.
Traveled: We didn’t go too far this month- just a quick trip to our Bavarian village, Leavenworth, for a date night. That little town never gets old.
Read: I’m still reading One Thousand Gifts for a bible study I’m doing with some gals at work. I’m not done with it yet, but it’s got a great message.
Ate & Drank: Memorable dining out experiences from this month include date night at Pybus Market- smoked pork from the Bistro and pesto and prosciutto pizza from Fire, wine from Jones of WA, and (more) sushi from Blue Flame. Frozen yogurt from Blue Spoon was pretty delish as well! From my own kitchen came red velvet scones, sugar cookies, and red velvet donuts. Plus some pretty amazing roasted asparagus which made me wonder why we don’t buy asparagus more often.
Friends: We actually just had a dinner/game night with friends last night- always a blast with lots of laughs!
Family: We had a birthday party for my nephew-in-law’s 20th. It was a hoot and a half- as our gatherings always are. We also went out to dinner for my sister-in-law’s 25th with some of my hubby’s family.
Exercise: Does yard work and a long walk with the dogs count? No? Well, shoot. I can’t wait for warmer weather so we can hit up the tennis courts!
Celebrate: Valentine’s Day, National Drink Wine Day, National Love Your Pet Day, and some family birthdays.
Mani of the Month: For Valentine’s Day I was sporting this bright pink mani, with a gold accent nail. Loved it!
Smiles: A few nice bubble baths in my newly made over bathroom, a thoughtful Valentine’s gift from my forever Valentine, a random trip to the grocery store on a Friday night for donuts and frosting, and some spring like weather are all things that have had me smiling this month. Oh, and one HUGE apple.
Heard: I’m still pretty obsessed with For King and Country’s new album. It’s all good. I love “O God Forgive Us” and “Matter.” I’ve also been listening to the Script- some of my old favorites from them.
Watched: We watched Jersey Boys, which was pretty good. I’m a sucker for that old time music.
