Spokane Weekend

This weekend I went to visit my bestie, Merry, in Spokane – my last visit before she moves over here!!! On Friday I got off work early to conquer the drive in the daylight. We hit up the grocery store for some weekend essentials and relaxed with a movie. Saturday morning we were up early to have coffee and get ready. We had a busy morning/ afternoon of running all around Spokane shopping. We grabbed donuts at Casual Friday Donuts – the salted caramel was SO GOOD. I wanted to take a dozen home, but knew they wouldn’t keep. And also, I don’t need to eat a dozen donuts.

We grabbed lunch at Sante, an adorable French restaurant that was highly recommended to me . We loved it! We split the classic burger and the gnocchi. Gah, I love gnocchi. I need to learn how to make it. But anyway, the food and the atmosphere were phenomenal, I will definitely come back here. Before heading back to the apartment to relax for the rest of the day, we stopped by Hobby Lobby to pick up some canvases to paint together. We changed into pajamas,, baked some cookies, snacked and painted while watching Friends. After our masterpieces were done we did some face masks that I’d gotten in a recent Ipsy bag. They totally made us look like some sort of horror movie monster, but the laughs and soft skin made them worth it ;)

The next day I had to leave early because of snow. (Is it spring yet??) It was a great weekend out of town, but I am so excited that Merry is going to be moving closer!! I see lots of random girls nights in our future. :)

I hope you had a great weekend!

XO,
Kayla
