Maui – Day 1

Aloha!

I’m back from MAUI!

It was warm and beautiful, just as I dreamed it would be. As with all of my adventures – I’m so excited to share the trip! Stay tuned in the days to come and I’ll tell you all about it:)

We flew out of Seattle on Saturday, February 13th at 9 am. Our vacation started on the plane as the stewardess handed us complimentary mai tais, which we sipped and felt the heat of the sun from our window. We arrived thirty minutes ahead of schedule (thank you tail wind!) at 1 pm, Hawaii time.

We got our rental car and headed to the Lahaina house (a rental house we stayed at with the bride and groom, plus two other couples) to unload our stuff. The house was beautiful, with a million dollar view. I’ve added the link to the vacation rental for it, if you’d like to learn more about it.

Our first afternoon on the island consisted of lunch at Betty’s – a cute restaurant with great views and a great happy hour, a walk through a beachfront park to get closer to the ocean, and a great BBQ at the Lahaina house with the others while the sun went down. Plus, a fairly early bedtime considering the early morning travels that started our day.
