West Coast Adventure {Day 13 & 14}

Day 13 – Boise, ID

When we woke up to greet day 13, we knew our vacation was rapidly coming to an end. We only had one more stop ahead of us! We checked out of our SLC hotel early and hit the road en route to Boise, ID.

When we made it to Boise in the evening, we headed straight for Brenna’s house (one of my besties and my old college roommate), where we would be staying the night. We got freshened up a little, and she drove us downtown for dinner. Boise is an awesome city with a small town feel. The downtown area is very trendy with lots of cute restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Brenna took us to a new place called Juniper that she really likes, and we sat outside. The weather was perfect, and we each ordered a local hard cider which was really good. For dinner we got a few appetizers to share, and everything we ordered was delicious. The rosemary fries especially were so tasty! Why don’t more places offer rosemary fries??

After a great dinner we went back to Brenna’s house for wine and girl talk (two things that go hand in hand.) Brenna had a lot of leftover wine from an event, so we had a little wine tasting outside. (Although judging by all those bottles it looks like we had a PARTAY.)

The next morning, we said our goodbyes and headed out pretty early. We stopped at Big City Coffee, per Brenna’s recommendation, for coffee and a pastry to take with us on the road. The place was adorable, and the pastries they offer were the biggest I’d ever seen! We split a pumpkin chai muffin (to die!) and could hardly finish it because it was so big!

And with that, we headed ourselves home – our final drive on our final day. This adventure was definitely one for the books. I still can’t believe we did everything that we did, and traveled so far in 14 days. It was such a great time, although I think I speak for both of us when I say we won’t be driving that far again anytime soon:)

XO,
Kayla
