Yesterday I shared pictures from the hot air balloons my sister-in-law and I went to see in Winthrop, WA recently. Check out the post if you haven’t already- I had such a blast snapping pictures!
The balloons were to be in the air from about 7-9, so after we were done watching them, we got back in the car and drove farther into Winthrop, stopping at the first breakfast place we saw. This happened to be 3 Bears Cafe & Quilts. This place was very unique and eclectic with a lot of antique touches. It was, just as the name implies, half a cafe and half a quilt shop. The breakfast menu was quite small, as was the cafe itself, but we grabbed a menu and ordered at the counter. We both got the Ohlsen Family Crepes for breakfast, I got a vanilla latte to drink and Melissa got a mocha.
Shortly after we found a table our drinks were brought out, followed by our food shortly after that. My latte was perfect, just what I wanted after coming in from the crisp March morning air. Our crepes were really good as well, a little pricey- but good. The inside was filled with fresh blueberries and lemon mascarpone.
When our bellies were nice and full, we decided to venture to downtown Winthrop, where there are many shops and restaurants which are all old western themed. We had so much fun walking through even thought it was early and nothing was open yet. I’ve decided I want to come back and visit another time, possibly in the summer. Here are my Winthrop snapshots:
It was a wonderful day trip. If I ever get around to going back in the summer I’ll be sure to share more! XO
