Recently I got to cross “See hot air balloons” off my life to-do list. One of the cutest little towns ever hosts a hot air balloon festival every year. Early on a Saturday morning, my sister-in-law, Melissa, and I hopped in the car and hit the road by 5:30 a.m. Our destination was Winthrop, WA, where the Festival would be held.
When we got close, we turned a corner and could see some of the balloons had already gone up. We were so excited to see them that we pulled over right where we were and got out to take some pictures.
Shortly after that we arrived at the balloon launch site. There were about twenty balloons that launched that day and they speckled the sky for miles. It was beautiful. We had a blast taking pictures and capturing the beauty of each unique balloon. Today I want to share some of my favorite pictures I took from the time we spent watching them. Enjoy!
Tomorrow I’ll share the snapshots I took from our time in Winthrop after we finished watching the balloons. Come back to see! XO
