September, where did you go?! As much as I love fall, I’m still having a hard time letting go of long days and warm nights. October means we are headed straight for the Holidays though, so I’m pretty happy:) Here’s my September recap:
Traveled: We stayed home this month which was fine with me after the traveling I did in August. In the next couple months I really want to head over to my old stomping grounds and catch a Coug game:) We shall see!
Read: Nothing at the moment – I need some suggestions!
Ate & Drank: Highlight meals and drinks of the month were crepes, Mongolian BBQ, Swedish meatballs, homemade chicken noodle soup, merlot, banana bread, and SO MANY pumpkin things! (Including pumpkin snickerdoodles and pumpkin bread – yum)
Friends: We had a game night with a group of friends this month which was fun. We played a game called House on the Haunted Hill, I think? It was hilarious, and while my character ended up dying early on, it was still a great night!
Family: I’ve gotten to spend quite a bit of time with family this month between celebrations, football games, and gatherings. Love it!
Exercise: Hmmm… not sure I did exercise this month, aside from dog walks. Those count, right?
Celebrate: There was lots to celebrate this month! We had a gender reveal party for my brother and sister in law, we celebrated my little brother’s 15th birthday with dinner, we attended a beautiful wedding for Marty’s cousin, and we had brunch with family for my mother in law’s birthday.
Mani of the Month: Y’all, I’m giving my nails a break this month. Fall colors are up next!
Smiles: Baking a gender reveal cake, all pumpkin things, happy hours, fall coffee cups at Starbucks, football, more football, decorating for fall, and family time.
Heard: I love the song “Same Power” by Jeremy Camp and “Wildest Dreams” by Taylor Swift. And, don’t laugh at me, but I was trying to research good music to increase productivity… and I’ve totally started listening to classical music at work. It’s pretty nice to have on in the background, and sometimes it makes me think of Christmas – which is a plus:)
Watched: We watched Jurassic World the other day, and it was alright. We’ve watched a lot of Elementary lately which is quite an interesting show. Also, King of Queens! Love that show!
Byeeee September!
XOXO,
Kayla
