Hey! Did you catch part 1<\/a> of my weekend in Victoria?<\/p>\n

Saturday morning we woke up leisurely and got ready for breakfast. We walked downtown, enjoying the calmness of the streets in the morning. We stumbled into Habit Coffee because I was in dire need of caffeine. It was a cute place that seemed pretty popular.<\/p>\n

Just a short ways from Habit Coffee was an adorable little breakfast spot that had rave reviews online – Jam Cafe. When we walked up we saw there was about a fifteen person line out the door. (We don’t see that\u00a0ever<\/em> at home.) We asked the couple in front of us if it was worth it and they admitted to only being a couple times, but it’s good. They also told us that most the good breakfast spots have lines on the weekend. Interesting!<\/p>\n

Breakfast was delicious, I loved their menu offerings. Marty got biscuits and gravy with\u00a0fried chicken.\u00a0<\/em>Um. Yeah. It was delish. And I couldn’t pass up the red velvet pancakes. They were huge and so good! Definitely felt like dessert for breakfast!<\/p>\n

After, we wandered through Chinatown. Victoria’s Chinatown is Canada’s oldest Chinatown. It’s quite small, but really adorable. We found Fan Tan Alley and walked through. From there we headed over towards the shopping center en route to Bon Macaron Patisserie for a box of delicious macarons. I couldn’t get enough of walking downtown Victoria – the architecture was swoon-worthy.<\/p>\n

After we found my macarons, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for a long walk in the park. I was so excited to go exploring in Beacon Hill Park, and it did not disappoint. It was almost magical to walk through. It was an overcast day while we were there, but I still enjoyed every minute of exploring. We saw a large duck pond with an old stone bridge, foresty trees, leaves blowing in the wind, lots of squirrels, and even meandering peacocks. We continued walking until we hit the water’s edge. Even on such a cloudy day we could see across to the Olympic Mountains.<\/p>\n

Next we headed back to our hotel to freshen up before dinner. We ended up eating at one of historic pubs, Bard and Banker. We definitely do not have places like this in my hometown. I loved it! It was just as cool inside as it was outside. We enjoyed dinner and drinks before walking back to our hotel for the night.<\/p>\n

Sunday morning we had breakfast at the restaurant in our hotel, before checking out at 11 a.m. We walked to the nearby Starbucks to get a latte and kill some time before our ferry. We set sail at 2 and made it back to Seattle by 5.<\/p>\n

Victoria was lovely – a perfect weekend getaway. We will definitely be back.<\/p>\n
