<\/a><\/p>\nSaturday at 11 am, my hubs and I met two of our friends at the shooting range near our house. \u00a0Between you and me…\u00a0it was my first time shooting. \u00a0<\/em>Maybe that seems perfectly reasonable for some of you, but where I come from I felt a little out of place having never gone shooting. \u00a0My husband had been trying to get me to go forever, and he finally succeeded on Saturday. \u00a0I think I was just apprehensive because guns are scary. \u00a0I mean, right? \u00a0They’re weapons. \u00a0Weapons are scary. \u00a0But regardless, I completely needed to get over this apprehension, and I’m so thankful I have a husband who is very patient with me. \u00a0He walked me through the most basic of details from how to pick up the gun properly, to where to keep my finger positioned until I was ready to pull the trigger. \u00a0He answered all of my (slightly stupid) questions without even a trace of a condescending tone. \u00a0“If I miss the target, that’s okay? \u00a0Where do I put my other hand? \u00a0What if I DROP it??” (Maybe this will give you an idea of just how patient my hubby is…) \u00a0When I finally felt like I’d learned all I could, I shot my first round. \u00a0And, believe it or not- I hit the target almost every time. \u00a0After almost two hours at the range, we packed up and headed home. \u00a0I’m still not 100% comfortable shooting, but I feel a lot better about it.<\/p>\n Later we headed over to Marty’s grandparent’s house for his grandpa’s 87th (!) birthday. \u00a0We had cake and laughed with the family for awhile before heading over to Pybus Market for date night. \u00a0Pybus is a fairly new concept to our valley that is supposed to be similar (although MUCH smaller) to Pike Place Market in Seattle. \u00a0I’ll have to share more about it later because it’s pretty awesome. \u00a0We started date night by tasting some wines at the Jones tasting room. \u00a0We each got a glass and we bought a bottle to take home as well. \u00a0(We, also, somehow<\/em>\u00a0ended up joining their wine club… haha. \u00a0That was not expected, but I’m excited to get different types of wine throughout the year!)<\/p>\n \u00a0After we felt nice and warm from our glass of wine, we headed on over to Fire to split a wood fired pizza for dinner. \u00a0It was delicious. \u00a0Our final date night stop was Ice for gelato. \u00a0(Fire & Ice are right next to each other and owned by the same people.)<\/p>\n \n Sunday we celebrated St. Patty’s Day eve by having the best\u00a0<\/em>St. Patty’s Day eve brunch ever. \u00a0We made these<\/a> delicious green pancakes, cottage fried potatoes, and bacon. \u00a0And two huge iced coffees. \u00a0Of course.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/p>\n
