Summer 2020

Summer 2020 was a weird one. Restaurants closing, no local pool, no gatherings… plus I was pregnant on top of all of it. I’m so thankful we had the lake to escape to.

We had backyard hangs, and lots of berry picking. We found a swing set for Milly on Facebook market place which we surprised her with.

We had our 20 week ultrasound. Is this not the sweetest little profile? It looks identical to Milly’s! My girls and their little button noses :)

Husband and I celebrated 8 years of marriage (11 years together). We went to lunch in Chelan and it was beautiful. We had a sweet Father’s Day in June as well. Husband also turned 34, had to work late on his birthday, so Milly and I made sure he had carrot cupcakes waiting for him when he got home.

We found a sunflower field close to home and took some bump pictures that I just love!!

We spent as much time soaking up the sun at the lake as possible. Our very happiest place. I had a girls weekend with two besties and it was so much fun. A new tradition I hope!

Milly potty trained and got a big girl bed all in the same year. She knocked both transitions out of the park!

We put together a “nursery nook” in our guest bedroom.

We decorated for fall near the end of the summer. I enjoyed when the weather cooled, and boy – was my belly big by this point! I knew fall meant baby girl, so I think that’s why I was so welcoming of the change of seasons. ;) (also pictured, one of our garden hauls! We learned a lot this year.)

I know it’s still February, and we have snow in the forecast – but this post has got me v. excited for summer!!
