Birthdays, BBQs, and Summer Fun

My husband turned 33 last Monday! So crazy to think we’ve been together since he was 23 – ten whole years! He is such a great catch and I knew it right from our first date. He is a better father than I could’ve ever dreamed, and really is so good to his girls. Milly and I are very lucky!

Last Sunday we had his family over to celebrate. We BBQd, played cornhole, ate carrot cake, and ended the night with a very entertaining game of scattergories.

During the week we had a coffee date (huckleberry milkshake for Milly which she loved), s’mores for dessert, and we picked lots of fresh berries. I am obsessed with having a raspberry bush, and I wish it would last months and months!

This weekend has been so busy. We had a festival here in our small town and family came up to stay and partake in the festivities with us. We listened to some great live music and let Milly get a salted caramel cone (which mama and dada had to help eat a lot of hah), and had drinks outside by the fire on Friday. On Saturday we walked back down to the park for lunch and lemonades, and some shopping at the local vendors. In the evening my parents babysat Milly while Marty and I went to a second annual cornhole tournament with his coworkers. Sunday flew by, but we managed to find Milly’s little pink pool from last year so she could splash around. We ended the night by pulling weeds – so fun right?! ;)

Already looking ahead to our next summer weekend!! :)
