I’ve always been one to celebrate all the things, but now it’s even more of a priority because I have a tiny human who loves to have fun just like her mama. I cannot believe the 4th is next week! I feel like of all the holidays, it’s the sneakiest – always coming super quick and reminding us that summer will be over before we know it. Although, in all seriousness, we had like one week of amazing weather and it’s been chilly and threatening to thunderstorm the rest of the time. Which sucks because we have a pool pass we want to use! I think Sunday is supposed to be nice, so you better believe we’ll be taking Milly to swim if it is.
Looking ahead to next week, I’m trying to figure out details. I’m thinking fire pit s’mores outside, the pool if it’s open (wishing I had a patriotic swim suit for Mil… maybe it’s not too late to get one still??), sidewalk chalk, BBQ, a festive champagne cocktail for the adults, and sparklers!
I like to think back on magical memories I remember from my childhood, and try to give Milly those same feelings. I know this is a broken record thing for parents to say, but seeing the magic of things through her eyes is honestly the most fulfilling thing I’ve experienced in life.
My 4th of July Pinterest board has a lot of my fave inspiration! Check it out here.
And, why not do a little throwback to last 4th of July?
