Emilia’s Nursery

I’ve had this post started for months and months, and here we are – nine months after Emilia was born, and I am FINALLY sharing her nursery! I don’t know if I should feel like a total failure that it’s taken me this long, or a total success that I’m getting it done before her first birthday… we’ll go with a total success. ;)

It feels like just yesterday I was daydreaming about what this room would look like. I remember sitting in the rocker with a kicking baby in my belly, imagining reading to her before bed. That’s exactly what we do every night now, and it just makes me realize how amazing this life is. I love how her little room turned out, and I’m so excited to be sharing it today!

Before the fun part of decorating, we painted the walls a very light and warm grey, added white molding & trim, and replaced the carpet with dark hardwood. I didn’t want a theme really, just more of a color scheme: flamingo pink, gold, and white with lots of girly floral touches. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, and I think Emilia loves it too. :)
