I’m not sure if most people Christmas shop for their newborns or not, but I can’t help it. Milly is so much fun to shop for, and I’ve already figured out most of what I want to get her. In order to keep myself from going overboard, I want to follow the “something they want, something they need, something they wear, something they read” rule. Plus a little something from Santa :)

So, of course these are things I want to buy her and not necessarily things she wants. The floral activity play mat is so cute, and the perfect thing for tummy time! I love dogs and think the stuffed puppy would be the perfect addition to her nursery. Swaddles are definitely a necessity – we have a ton already but manage to go through them so quickly! Plus, I love them and can’t get enough! Christmas Eve is not complete without a new pair of PJs, and I like the idea of getting festive ones to wear on Christmas morning. I’m obsessed with the little babydoll dresses from Old Navy! I already ordered a black one with gold polka dots to give Em for Christmas – I think it will be perfect for NYE! And finally, the books. Give me all the children’s books. BabyLit books are my FAVORITE. They are so adorable, I want them all! We already have Alice in Wonderland and Pride and Prejudice. I want to grab Emma, because Emma is a cute nickname for Emilia, and the Pacific Northwest board book is perfect because we live in the PNW! :)
I just love this time of year, and I can’t wait to start traditions with our sweet baby girl. I know she’s going to love the magic of this season like I always have. I plan to do a post on ideas for stuffing a newborn’s stocking, so stay tuned for that!
