Babymoon 2017

At the end of June we took a long weekend and headed to the coast for our babymoon (and also our 5th wedding anniversary). We had such a great time, I already want to go back! We picked Iron Springs Resort in Copalis Beach because it is known for being super dog-friendly, and I’ve always wanted to take the pups to the beach.

Our stay was perfect – very relaxing with the prettiest weather I’ve ever seen on the Washington coast. Our cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed, with a great view from the deck. I meal planned and we packed food so we were able to make all our meals at the cabin.  I also baked us an anniversary cake, of course – which tried to melt a little as I was photographing it on the balcony, but it still tasted great :)

We walked on the beach a lot, which of course was the best part of our trip. I totally miss having the beach for our backyard. If we walked a little ways we easily had the beach to ourselves, and we felt comfortable enough to see how the dogs would do off their leashes. They did great! Never wandering too far and always coming back when we called them. Seeing them run through the sand and splash through the waves was so fun. I seriously think we need to buy a beach house so this can be a more regular occurrence ;)

When we weren’t exploring the beach we were relaxing in the cabin. We cooked meals together, read, nursery planned, and even made s’mores in the fireplace. (With our sweet pups right by our side.)

We took a bajillion pictures because it was just too gorgeous. I’ve tried to narrow it down, but still have a lot to share :)

Gah, seriously! How cute are those sandy, happy puppy dogs?!

Happy Tuesday! :)

XO,
Kayla
