Hey, how was your weekend? I hope it was wonderful!
Mine was pretty relaxed. It included lounging, beer & Wii with the husband, grocery shopping, and baking.
Does anybody else have dog siblings who like to use the other as a pillow?
Or is it just my pups?
Monday (yesterday) was my nephew’s 10th birthday. I can’t believe he is already 10! I’m so thankful to have him in my life. He moves and talks a mile a minute, he is a superb story teller, and he has such a huge heart. He always brings the laughs and get’s so excited about things. Oh. And the kid can dance. I’m so proud of him, and I wish he could stay little forever. He’s reminding me this won’t be the case though, and wants me to stand up next to him so he can see how tall he’s getting. Yep, it won’t be long until he’s passed up his auntie, who’s only 5’2”. Sigh.
It seems like it was just yesterday that he was going through his “I love auntie” phase, where we were pals and he would block the door in attempts to keep me from leaving when it was time for me to go home.
Last night we all went out to dinner in honor of his actual birthday, even though his birthday party will be this weekend. He was wanting a “surprise” really bad, so we all got to the restaurant before him, held up our menus over our faces and when my brother brought him in we removed the menus and yelled “SURPRISE!!!” It was so hilarious – he was shocked! And so excited when he realized these crazies yelling surprise at him were his family, since he didn’t know we were going to be at his birthday dinner.
When we all sang to him and they brought out ice cream he said, “Wow, ice cream too? I am so lucky!” He was on cloud 9! Such a grateful little kid.
And, we get to celebrate him again on Saturday!
I hope you all have a wonderful week! XO
