I love date night.
I love Friday nights.
And I love s’mores.
These three things are all the more sweeter when shared with my love. This past Friday night we made the most of the pleasant spring weather and had s’mores in the backyard. The temp was about 65 degrees which is pretty remarkable for March, especially considering the sun had already gone down. Love!!
I rounded up our drinks and s’mores ingredients (which we had on hand already – it’s fire pit season, y’all!) while Marty started a fire.
We snagged this basic fire pit from Walmart last year for $29! I just couldn’t say no. We’ve already used it a ton, and it seems to be holding up just fine.
We enjoyed our s’mores my absolute favorite way: with Reese’s peanut butter cups instead of chocolate bars. Have you ever tried it? If not, you HAVE to! The substitution takes s’mores to a whole new level of deliciousness. I can’t believe I haven’t been eating them like this all along…
Yum.
The dogs enjoy our little fire pit adventures as well. While they don’t get to feast on s’mores with us, I give them a marshmallow here and there. They love it!
Spring has been wonderful so far. I’m so thankful for this time of year!
