Last Sunday I went with some family to a local pumpkin patch for the ever-traditional “finding the perfect pumpkin.” Locally, we have quite a few options for picking out pumpkins, but the place we ended up going is a pig farm that offers “pick your own pumpkins” from their pumpkin patch every fall. There is also a corn maze.
The day we went, the sun was shining and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It was hot. In October. But hey, I’m not complaining. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer day to spend roaming the pumpkin patch. Now, picking out the perfect pumpkin is on my fall bucket list, so going to the pumpkin patch and the corn maze was just an added plus! And going with my niece and nephews made it all the better. They are so fun :-)
Here is my brother and my niece with their pumpkin winner! I couldn’t help but do another picture I took similar to this one in black and white. To me, it just looks like tradition. How many years have fathers been picking out pumpkins in the fall with their daughters? Love it.
All in all we had a great trip to the pumpkin patch! And, I have crossed off another thing on my fall bucket list. I know I’m crossing off some things this weekend as well. (Yay!) What’s your favorite fall tradition?
Happy Saturday! xoxo
